Overview

Research continuously cites lack of skills, confidence, and experience as main barriers to SMEs excelling in international trade; nationwide support for SMEs remains highly generic and training oriented. Only dedicated 1:1, hands-on support that prioritises knowledge transfer can break down these barriers; additionally, only support engagements where SMEs see provision as an extension of their in-house capabilities, where employees can actively ‘learn’ from the provider truly unlocks potential.
